 Recap of Events

Therapeutic Kneads - March 16th

EPWNG's 4th Annual Nurture Night at Therapeutic Kneads on March 16th left our members so relaxed & contented that there's already been requests for a 5th one next year. Thirteen women attended, including a few repeats from prior years. As in past years, Holly Kahan coordinated the event and provided delicious refreshments. In addition to the seven treatment options from which each attendee could select three to try, there was a chiropractor available for consultation on nutrition, acupuncture and innovative methods of body adjustments. Sandy Saldano, owner of Therapeutic Kneads in Highland Park, gifted every attendee with a lavender-filled silk eye pillow to help with relaxation at home. Sandy & her wonderful staff have gone way beyond expectations to make this an event to remember.

Meet Rebecca Hoffman
Good Egg Concepts

Founded in 2000, Good Egg Concepts is a strategic communications and branding consultancy. They do projects of all sizes, from tweaking your sales presentations to re-branding your business. "Readiness for change or growth is a leading indicator of success in a client's endeavors," Rebecca says. "Our clients have an interest in creative ideas.  They are willing to test new approaches to branding and communications." She and her team of freelance industry experts can create communications that make you irresistible to your audience, for a lower price than you might think. "Emerging businesses often feel they don't have the resources to build a rich, full brand which is ironic as that is exactly what is always needed. Working with me and my associates can be very affordable.  Agencies have overhead, but the model I use to achieve client goals is free of all those financially burdensome aspects," she says.

We asked Rebecca what trends she is seeing in marketing and communications this year.  "2017 is off to a fascinating start.  The economy is strong so clients feel bold enough to try new approaches and spend a little money on creative projects."  Specifically, three trends she cited are:

  • Continued refinement on how people are approaching social media as a marketing tool.
  • Maybe surprisingly, an increase in opportunities for printed communications.
  • Development of a business's "authentic voice" toward stakeholders.

Rebecca stays inspired and creative through travel to interesting places with her family, following comedy "the way most people follow sports", and looking at a LOT of art.  She also networks, and EPWNG is a part of that. "One of my very favorite aspects of EPWNG is that I get to meet women from all walks of life and business and I learn so much from everyone.  I feel honored to be part of the group.  It's really a very special place to do business."
